At the heart of a new Wagram – Ternes – Courcelles district, this 400 sqm store on two storeys is opened since December 2009. It displays the essential of the collection and it specifically focuses on decoration advice and specific projects for apartments, villas or offices (freelance professionals, communication agencies...).
A pioneer of contemporary furniture dating back to 1938 when H. Knoll and his wife F. Schust founded the firm, Knoll is responsible for producing furniture collections from the XXth century’s greatest designers : M. van der Rohe, M. Breuer, E. Saarinen, H. Bertoia, G. Aulenti, W. Platner, F. Gehry.
The result of a meeting between two individuals and two complementary expertises – cabinet making and design – the Manufacture Nouvelle positions itself at the crossroads of materials. Whether wood, metal, or concrete the furniture created by the creative duo revolves around raw materials.
Shapes, textures, colours inspired by nature... with its unequivocal name the Maison Nordik assumes its throwback tendencies, devoting itself completely to Scandinavian style with a mixture of contemporary designer pieces and the big references of the 50s and 60s. Louise & Gregory source the items directly in Denmark, Sweden, Holland and Belgium, selecting and importing timeless classics and vintage furniture by Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen, Finn Juhl, Johannes Andersen and even Hans J. Wegner.
