The Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, designed by the architect J-F Bodin is, with its 23,000 sqm, the biggest centre of architecture in the world. The museum presents life-size mouldings from a selection of major roman and gothic French monuments and an overview of modern and contemporary architecture. The City also stages on temporary exhibitions on the theme of cultural heritage, architectural design and questions related to urbanism. A new restaurant opened in 2018 : Girafe.
The renowned gallery of furniture from the 50’s and 60’s, the Cube Rouge, celebrates its tenth birthday. The charm of the place emanates from the contagious enthusiasm of Jérôme Godin and his unparalleled talent for nding and presenting furniture pieces from the 50s and 60s selected with precision and rigor. One can nd pieces by Jacques Hitier, Marcel Gascoin, René Gabriel, Pierre Paulin, and Charles Eames as well as anonymous pieces.
The mythical Louxor cinema reopened in 2013 with the help of two associations, one from the 10th arrondissement and one from the Barbès district. Once renovated, all that remained from the original were the mosaic on the façade and three seats on the second balcony.
