The Rosa Parks station, served by Line E of the RER and designed by AREP, the SNCF’s architectural studio, is poised to infuse new life into this part of north-east Paris. Part of an ambitious urban renewal project, the station’s architectural concept is based on “ fluidity, opening up and light”. On the southern forecourt there is a canopy with a metal structure and transparent awning. On the north side, the forecourt is bordered by trees. The station is located under the railway lines and has level access. The architects aimed for natural lighting, and interiors with pale, roughened concrete walls, metal walkways and wood flooring. Serving mobility with comfort and modernity.
