PAS DE CALAIS
Pas de Calais opened its first Paris boutique in September 2015. Created by Yukari Suda in 1998, the Japanese brand is a tribute to Calais lacework and has both its own creations and a range of fabrics in traditional colours using the latest technology to do magical things with cotton, linen and silk. Authenticity and simplicity are in the brand’s DNA and the design of the 75 sqm boutique by Raphael Navot is in keeping with this. The abstract shaped furniture underlines the imperfect precision of the clothes, the floor a patchwork of unevenly hand-cut wooden blocks. The clothes are hung in a geometric triangulation.
