Confidential, hidden behind a massive door, the first thing to do is to find L’Eclaireur Hérold despite the absence of a shop-front or a sign. Since 2001 the hidden space has occupied what were once the stables of a town house and shows a selection of the most important creators and designers. Somewhere between a curiosity shop and an experimental zone, the finest in fashion is displayed alongside furniture and artwork that bears no relationship to any marketing theory. Work is by Paul Harnden, Piet Hein Eek, Carol Christian Poell, DALO ceramists, Tobias Wistisen to name a few. To discover also: No Name Kitchen Manufacture’s exceptional kitchens.
