Camille Fourmont trained at Inaki Azaïpitarte’s Dauphin, where she learned her graceful ways before launching out with a verve and energy that is all her own and setting up this jewel of a wine bar in which simple food is married with an unusual selection of wines. The space is a 30 sqm former creamery, tiled with white tiles and decorated by Nicolas Javel who also did the Dauphin. On the ground, the area where the cold rooms used to be is delineated by the original mosaics that stop at where the door would have been. The original blue and white colour scheme has been maintained, just like the walls which haven’t been repainted. The sign – neon of course – hangs in the main window.
