Two years of construction work were necessary to Manuelle Gautrand to reconstruct Gaumont Alésia. After having destroyed and laid bare everything the big concrete arcs which sheltered the original room of 2000 seats, eight new rooms are linked in the space to propose all in all 1380 seats, a reception hall, a space atrium and of ces. The desire of Jérôme Seydoux was to register Gaumont in the tradition of the Parisian cinemas, to recreate a place of noble support, on the antipodes of multiplexes. New spaces join each others in a game of gradinage inverted. The major component remains the facade realized by the agency ON, a reel of Leds lights recreating from 229500 bright points the movies now screening.
