After rennovating Bon and launching Ma Cocotte, Fabienne and Philippe Amzalak have moved to Beaugrenelle to open Eclectic, a restaurant designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio. By merging the codes of a typical Paris brasserie with those of domestic comfort, the British designer’s first commission in France is a homage to the architecture of the 1970’s. Over 300 sqm the mix-and-match approach favours surfaces using precious woods, metal, hard stone and lacquer. The furniture is sculptural and specially designed for the space, including long banquettes in coloured leather that are an invitation to linger in the series of alcoves that run the length of the façade on the Seine side.
