Like a glass cube that occupies the first two floors of an environmentally responsible build- ing, Coretta is almost an over ow of the nearby Martin Luther King park. It therefore comes as no surprise that the chef Jean-François Pantaleon’s restaurant sets out to reproduce a forest-like atmosphere. Designed by Brune de la Guerrande the interior architecture uses effects like tree trunks crossing the two levels and leading to the vast open kitchen itself a hive of activity behind a honeycomb wall of hexagonal cement tiles. A veritable tree hut of a restaurant in short.
