On one side an unbeatable view over the Pyramid of the Louvre, and on the other a glimpse of the paintings and marble sculptures of the Denon wing. Between the two, Mathieu Lehanneur, up and coming star, created the special universe of Café Mollien, a space covering 150 sqm. To lighten the historic marble flooring and imposing columns that were a given, he attempted to “sooth the retina, (…) with lightness and airiness.” The designer placed a brushed brass light from whose branches suspends, at more than four metres from the floor, three big ovals made of pale pink diaphanous glass. The white furniture matches the 10 metre marble bar.
