AUDITORIUM DE LA MAISON DE LA RADIO
The vast renovation of la Maison de la Radio, for which Architecture Studio won the competition to design in 2005, reestablishes new functionality for the institution thanks to new passage of circulation carved into the center of the building, better redistributing the various pathways. The addition of a 1,461-seat symphonic Auditorium completes its mission of public venue, which until now focused on the up-to-standards Studio 104. The particularity here is in the narrowness of the room; architects and acousticians made advantageous use of the very vertical hall whose maximum distance between maestro and spectator is 15 meters, both a challenge and a feat.
